I am CWO2 Douglas Brown (US ARMY,Retired ). I am a Decorated Combat Wounded, Disabled Veteran. Recently, I celebrated the 41st Anniversary of my “Last Day In Combat”.
I celebrated this Anniversary with a different perspective. I always knew there was a bullet in my chest, believing it an inch from my heart, but the doctors actually just located it with a CT Scan, ‘IN MY HEART***”!
I’ve been working with our Active Military Families in the Southwest, through a targeted (needs assessed) Aid Program. My goal now is to expand that effort to our Service Disabled Veterans and their Families in Dept of VA VISN Region 22.
I will be working with those Mission Constituents eligible for the Dept of VA Adaptive Housing Grants:
Because my Mission Constituents are exactly the same people The Fisher House Foundation ( www.fisherhouse.org ) has always honored, I will be allying my Mission with these dedicated people through their local operation, the Greater Los Angeles Fisher House (www.greaterlafisherhouse.org) and the Executive Director Tim Byk.
